When using wheel loader snow chains, we should pay attention to the weather forecast before going out. If it is raining or snowing, we should install the wheel loader snow chains in advance, because it is better to install in advance than temporarily.

The working environment of wheel loaders is generally relatively harsh. In case of rain and snow, the road is prone to muddy and slippery conditions. Therefore, in such weather conditions, it is necessary to install snow chains on wheel loaders. There are many types of loader snow chains, the common ones are standard snow chains, reinforced snow chains, encrypted snow chains, anti-skid double wear-resistant protective chains, strong wear-resistant snow chains and underground special snow chains, etc. For wheel loader operators, it is necessary to choose the appropriate type of snow chains for their own safety when driving in rainy and snowy weather.

Step 1: Preparations

In rainy and snowy weather, install tire chains on wheel loaders, preferably in some relatively safe places to install and remove tire chains. When it must be installed and removed en route, be sure to be on the road next to a safe and level road. Wherever you are, make sure you have at least enough space in the front and back of the car and enough clearance to move the chains around. Also, make sure the brakes are activated to avoid accidents. A wooden block can be used to support the tire as an extra measure of protection. Last but not least, the tires need to be cleaned of excess dirt, snow, and other debris before installation.

Step 2: Start installing snow chains

First, make sure that the wheel loader is driven by the front or rear wheels, as the tire chain must be linked to the main tire set. When you know which set of tires you need to use tire chains, clean as much as possible of snow and debris around the tires, lay the tire chains under the wheel loader, and make sure the tire chains are covered with particles facing the ground. It is the most traction part of the snow chain.

Step 3: Fasten (or Remove) Snow Chains

If it is a rear wheel drive loader, fasten the chain backwards. If it's the front wheel, push it forward. Check that each tire is holding the tire chain in place and that each side is lapped with a pair of gears. Then get in the car, start the engine, take your time, and carefully drive the wheel loader forward or back about 2 feet with the tire chains

Step 4: Secure the Snow Chains

Once the tire is seated at right angles to the chain, pull off the port that overlaps the top of the tire. Each end must be a device that fits the entire chain gear completely. Start by giving yourself 1-2 inches of distance, then secure the unit with the sides of the snow chains.

Step 5: Protect the Snow Chains

Each rubber ring on the snow chain has four metal hooks that are evenly spaced around. Each of the metal hooks on the edge of the tire's hubcap is cross-fastened in a crisscross pattern. This ensures that the snow chains cannot slip off.

Step 7: Start

Snow chains should be securely installed by now to provide traction on snow-covered roads. However, don't assume that snow chains guarantee fast travel in harsh driving conditions. Drive slowly and pay attention to the sound of the wheel loader, which may alert people to loose chains or tires that are not properly installed. No matter how safe the tire chains are, the loader should never travel faster than 40 miles per hour, otherwise even with the best tire chains installed, the driver's safety can be hard to come by in inclement weather, with a variety of road conditions Assure

Final Step: Remove Snow Chains

Blizzard weather doesn't last forever, so the snow chains on the loader should be removed when the weather stops snowing. Under no circumstances should loader drivers be driving snow chains on a snow-free road, as this can seriously damage the tires. Removing snow chains is much easier than installing them. Just follow the steps in reverse order to remove the snow chains and store them in a dry place

Wheel loaders should pay attention to the following aspects when using snow chains:

1. If there is a blizzard, prepare snow chains in advance and install them in a safe place

2. Wheel loader snow chains also have size restrictions, which are suitable for different wheel sizes and tire widths, and should be matched with the wheel size.

3. After the snow chain is installed on the loader, the driving speed should not exceed 50 km/h. Braking, fast forwarding, sharp turns and continuous idling should be avoided while driving.

4. When driving on non-ice and snow roads, avoid walking on dry roads with sharp edges and poor driving. When the vehicle enters a road that does not require snow chains, remove the snow chains in time.

5. Loader snow chains are not designed for trailers and tractors.

6. Do not install snow chains when tires are under-inflated
